After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn is a good site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Rome-floyd County Recreation is a glorious site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to pop by Dry Creek, it's in close proximity to Rice Springs Lake. At Rice Springs Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily       in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Rice Springs Lake during the wintertime regularly sink into the 20's. Nearby lakes? Sure, Camps Lake is near Rice Springs Lake; Rice Springs Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Cedar Creek Park is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely into lakes, Hicks Lake is one of those nearby; a short tour to Rices                  Spring is always worthwhile. Rice Springs Lake is a pretty wet place commonly with a lot of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is usually the driest month. Get soaked paddling on Johnnies Creek, and there are plenty of people from Rome here at Rice Springs Lake. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do right next door to Rice Springs Lake. Very great water scenery is available at Lake Conasauga Dam right next door to Rice Springs Lake, and if you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Horseleg Creek Country Club.
