Reservoir Number 19 is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Appalachian Camper Park is a nice local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Cornelia-Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and get dripping wet paddling on Big Panther Creek. While you're here at Reservoir Number 19 you will meet lots of folks from nearby Cornelia; you can go for a hike on the Bartram
Trail. Throughout the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Reservoir Number 19, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the
wintertime at Reservoir Number 19 temperatures drop to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Reservoir Number 19, for example Reservoir 19, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Nancy Town River.

 | 1 PHOTO Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Stonecypher Lake
 | 12 miles away ...her Lake is a private lake located 5 miles south of Toccoa Ga in the foothills of the Smokie Mountains. It is fed by Freeman Creek, McAvoy Branch and Coe Branch. This lake is located on the farm lands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings.
