Very good water scenery is available at Middle Oconee Structure Number Nine Dam near Reservoir Nine; float down the rapids of Flat Creek in a kayak. For the period of the long summer days here at Reservoir Nine, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 40's while Reservoir Nine nighttime low       temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Reservoir Nine has it all. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Braselton Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Little River - East Fork offers some pleasant whitewater. A good deal of rainfall falls at Reservoir Nine; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month                  with the least amount of precipitation. Camping at Reservoir Nine is glorious fun, Lakeside Mobile Home and Travel is a glorious local campground, and if you're going to from Gainesville, you won't be the only one.
