There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Reservoir 59. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on North Oconee River; a golf course nearby is Pine Hill Golf Course. The high level of rainfall makes Reservoir 59 a quite wet place; through March this area sees the most rain; October is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Lake Russell Campground since       you're here at Reservoir 59, and Reservoir 59 is not the only place nearby, Reservoir 21 is a nearby lake. For the period of the long summer days here at Reservoir 59, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 40's while Reservoir 59 nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Cornelia; a great                  site to camp here at Reservoir 59 is Lumber Jacks Camping Resort.
