At Reservoir 42 you can distinguish Harvest Mountain; get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Mud Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Whitly Gap Trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Not far from Reservoir 42, you'll       find Reservoir 13 which is a stunning lake; if you need a site to stay Best Western Cornelia Inn is a splendid choice. There are great places to look at along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Cornelia. Reservoir 42 is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. All through the summertime highs here at Reservoir 42 reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come                  with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Reservoir 42 tend to be in the 20's. Just can't get enough of Reservoir 42. If you came for an overnight stay Appalachian Camper Park is a fine location to camp, and if you're visiting from Cornelia, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Reservoir 42 without first going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and why not camp at Moccasin Creek State Park since you're here at Reservoir 42. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just amazing. Lakes?
