| | hike on the Grassy Mountain Tower Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Key West Inn Chatsworth.
Reregulation Reservoir generally gets a good deal of rain; March is when you get the most rain here while October is frequently the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Talking Rock Creek, and Reregulation Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Calhoun. | |

Through the summer months here at Reregulation Reservoir, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Reregulation
Reservoir during the winter commonly fall into the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore Reregulation Pool since you're here at Reregulation Reservoir; it's close by, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western
Fairwinds Inn & Suites is a brilliant choice. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Reregulation Reservoir called the Emery Creek Trail, and Carters Reregulation Dam is wonderful.

| The General Store @ Eagle Mtn. now has Villa rentals to add to the enjoyment of paddling the Coosawattee, and can provide shuttle service to and from the river. Its a great place to spend the day, and now, you can even spend several days if you wish. Check them out!!...Ran the kayak trip from the General Store this past Memorial Day weekend it was great.The Store was full of customers, but they tried to make everyone feel very special. Great Folks and a great 2hr trip...The Coosawattee General Store is now offering kayaks/tubes for the stretch that runs through Coosawattee River Resort.... |

...ng and hosting at Lake Conasauga for the last few years I am very upset about the way people are treating the facilities offered there. As this area grows in popularity, and more and more people use it, I am saddened by the way this beautiful lake and mountian is being abused and trashed. The catch phrase ''Leave only your footprints'' applies to all US National Forests for a reason. One can only assume that you use this camping area for it's beauty and freshness, so why then do so many people leave it in such a mess? To have to pick up over 50 bags of trash, often left scattered about after a non-holiday weekend, is unreasonable. I don't mean to rant or nag, but, it isn't that hard to put a grocery bag in you pocket when fishing along the lake trail and walk out with the trash you create. The hosts in most camp grounds are volunteers and are unpaid. They pay for all of their own expenses to be there in order to keep the grounds and restrooms clean and stocked. So, PLEASE, read and obey the rules posted. Few places are as beautiful as our National Parks, please lets all make that sma... |

Make sure you follow trail long enough to get to the creek bottom..it's wonderful!...Hope to get up there in December...awesome views, challenging and dangerous at some points. Definitely will be back... |
