If you like lakes and you're in this part of Georgia you can check out Reeses Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Lodge On Lake Oconee is a great choice; you can go for a hike on the Town Creek Bike Trail. If you came to camp US Forestry Department is a splendid location to do that; why not a little side spree to Lick Creek. While you're here at Reeses Lake, you could also have a look at wonderful Kraft Lake; during your spree here

At Reeses Lake Dam right next door to Reeses Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see; Beall Pond One is a nearby lake that you could visit. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Reeses Lake. Paddling on Little River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Reeses Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Oconee Center is a nice place for that. This | |

wonderful hiking is available along the Twin Bridges Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Reeses Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during March, and October is when it's the driest. Throughout the summertime
here at Reeses Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's with temperatures at Reeses Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.

Little River Park
 | 14 miles away Little River Park has been totally renovated. The entire infrastructure of the park has been gutted out and replaced with new. We now have 130 FULL HOOK UP sites that provide 20/30/50 AMP service on every site. All sites have cable TV hook-ups also. A laundry facility has been completed with 3 washers/3dryers. A brand new 24 X 30 picnic pavillion was just completed last week. We have 5 docks that provide wet boat storage for our campers. WI FI is coming soon along with a fish cleaning station. Our daily rates are $35 for waterfront and $30 for an interior site. Weekly and long term camping is also available. We have 3 boat ramps, and marine fueling dock. Twin Bridges Trail
 | 16 miles away The Twin Bridges Trail is a bit strenuous and half of it is along the lake. It ends near a hunting camp where trash is dumped by campers. I really wish the trail were longer. USFS needs to consider walk-in camping with a parking area to require campers to walk 1/4 mile to the sites. The gate needs to be locked to the lakeside lots except for hunting season.... |
