Tanyard Branch is a charming stream that is worth going to, and you can run the rapids of Ogeechee River. Ray Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Fountain Campground is a tremendous local campground; Ray Dam has fine water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Rocky Comfort Plantation Campground is always a fine experience, and Ray Lake is not the only location close by, Mcbrayer Lake is a close by lake.       Having a fine time at Ray Lake is simple. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Thomson, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Boulders the Golf Course. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Thomson-Us78, Ga is a splendid spot to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Ray Lake you could also have a look at nearby Aggregates Lake. High temperatures at Ray Lake during the summer are in the 80's with overnight                  lows in the 60's.
