Rape Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. All through the summertime months at Rape Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rape Lake dip into the 30's. There's whitewater on South River for all you thrill seekers, and Georgia National Golf Club

| | is a great golf course close by. Very good water scenery is available at Rape Lake Dam near Rape Lake, and not far from Rape Lake you'll locate Lake Ola which is a striking lake. Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a fine national park, and a brilliant location to camp here at Rape Lake is Mount Bethel Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
