There's so much to do here at Rainey Lake that you need to camp here for a while, The Rock Camp Ground is a tremendous place for that. North Watts Lake Dam is picturesque and it's close to Rainey Lake, and if you came to camp Rome-floyd County Recreation is a good place to do that. You can       see Cobb Mountain from Rainey Lake, and let's not forget Cochran Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Rainey Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Rainey Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
