After a long day outdoors Best Western Mountain View Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; if the weather is pretty, you obtain a pleasant sight of Owltown Mountain from Powell Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge, and Whitepath Golf Club & is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Diamond Lure Campground is a delightful local campground, and close by you       discover the Mountaintown Creek Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Powell Lake commonly gets much precipitation; all through March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Lakes are such calm sites, why not check out Lovejoy Lake in close proximity to Powell Lake, and the Bear Creek Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. For the duration of the summer months at                  Powell Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Powell Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Powell Lake Dam is lovely and it's in the neighborhood of Powell Lake. A delightful lake like Turniptown Lake in the vicinity of Powell Lake is a fine place to explore, and Nelly Plum Campground is a delightful campground nearby.
