Cartecay River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; nearby you come across the Tearbritches Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Man, is there lots of cool things to do near Postell Lake. If you need a site to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Jasper is a wonderful choice, and Diamond Lure Lake Dam is a spot that is close to Postell Lake. High temperatures       at Postell Lake through the summer months are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Postell Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun; you can stay the night at Toccoa Valley Campgrounds. Postell Lake is a reasonably wet place typically with a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is the month with                  the least moisture. Diamond Lure Campground is a brilliant campground here, and Kimmons Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Postell Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain View Inn, and going for a hike on the Bear Creek Trail is always a great adventure. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Postell Lake called the Benton Mackaye Trail. Lakes?
