Ponys Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are nice places to discover along the DeSoto Falls Trail, and why not camp at Wild Willy Rv's & Campground if you're here at Ponys Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Ponys Lake, you could also visit pretty Burgess Lake, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Chestatee River. All the water falling down from the       sky makes Ponys Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is March; October on the other hand is the driest. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Dry warm beds await you at Dahlonega Days Inn (Hwy 19 & Hwy 60); don't leave Ponys Lake without first going for a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail. A golf course in close proximity to Ponys Lake is Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River, and you'll meet a lot of people from Gainesville                  here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega, Georgia is a great choice. So many enjoyable things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just incredible.
