So much fun stuff to do here at Pine Lake, too good to be true. While you're here at Pine Lake, you could also check out pretty Mcwilliams Lake. There's so much to do here at Pine Lake that you need       to camp here for a while, Sawnee Campground is a great site for that. Pine Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Johnsen Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Amicalola Creek. You get a perfect panorama of Sawnee Mountain from Pine                  Lake, and hey, Kelley Mill Branch is a delightful local stream. At Pine Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's; nighttime lows through the winter for Pine Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Cumming is a great choice; Settingdown Creek is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some cheerful folks from Gainesville here; why not stop at Pine Lake Dam since you're here. There's splendid hiking along the Brookshire Creek Trail; you can stay the night at Twin Lakes Park.
