High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Pine Lake drop into the 20's. Paddling on Amicalola Creek is so much fun, and don't miss out on a journey to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area since you're here. While you're here at Pine Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Gainesville.
Kelley Mill Branch flows through this area; you get a tremendous panorama of Sawnee Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Lakes Park is a splendid local campground,
and while you're here, you might as well have a look at Chamblee Gap. Pine Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls through March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
