| | to camp here for a while, Sawnee Campground is a great site for that. Pine Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Johnsen Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Amicalola Creek. Lake, and hey, Kelley Mill Branch is a delightful local stream. At Pine Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's; nighttime lows through
the winter for Pine Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Cumming is a great choice; Settingdown Creek is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some
cheerful folks from Gainesville here; why not stop at Pine Lake Dam since you're here. There's splendid hiking along the Brookshire Creek Trail; you can stay the night at Twin Lakes Park. If you want to play some golf, you're
in luck because Windermere Golf Club 1 is around here, and if you have time to spare, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a national park worth checking out.
