Whitewater paddling is great on Chattahoochee River, and at Lake Pless Dam near Pilgrim Pond there are some interesting things to see. Pilgrim Pond is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Cleveland; close by you find the Whitly Gap Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail       is always a good adventure; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Warwick Lake. Pilgrim Pond generally gets a large amount of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Pilgrim Pond. Turner Campsites is a delightful campground nearby, and the vista of Pink Mountain is striking. This lake is so wonderful. If                  you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Helen is a magnificent choice, and lots of folks from Cornelia come here. There is a great hiking trail close to Pilgrim Pond called the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and you can stay the night at Union Grove Campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Get drenched paddling on Mud Creek; obviously, this is a glorious region for folks who like lakes, Lake Pless is a lake nearby. At Pilgrim Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
