There are other places here than Picnic Lake, for example Christmas Lake, and great hiking is available along the Okefenokee Wilderness Canoe Trail. Summertime highs at Picnic Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 60's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Picnic Lake tend to       be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Picnic Lake is a nice place to camp, Traders Hill Recreation Area is a nice place, and you can go for a hike on the Indian Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Picnic Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lazy Acres Mobile Park and RV; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Bradbury Inn & Suites. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Picnic Lake. All the water falling                  down from the sky makes Picnic Lake a wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest.
