Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Brickyard Plantation RV Campground is a great campground nearby; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express AMERICUS. Some close by water includes Fivemile Branch; lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Usry Lake. There are other places here than Phillips Pond, for example Ballinger       Lake; you can stay the night at The Parks at Chehaw Campground. Phillips Pond is a wet location that gets lots of rain; January is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Brickyard Plantation Golf Club is always a pleasure; there's always Phillips Pond Dam to stop by close to Phillips Pond. Through the long summer days at Phillips Pond highs are mostly in the 90's.                  Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's.
