Don't leave Phillips Lake without first paying a visit to Kings Gap Spring, and if you need a spot to stay DI and Suites Pine Mountain-Maingate N Of Callaway Gardens is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Mountain Top Inn and Resort, and a lake nearby       is Davis Lake. You could also take a look at White Lake while you're here at Phillips Lake; it's nearby, and close by Kings Gap is a fine spot to go. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Phillips Lake. F.D. Roosevelt State Park is a good campground nearby, and an interesting thing to stop by close to Phillips Lake is Phillips Dam. A nice location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Phillips Lake is Flat Shoals River.                  Phillips Lake gets a great deal of water; March is when you get the most rain here; October on the other hand is the driest. At Phillips Lake through the summer months highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's.
