Summertime highs at Phelps Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Phelps Lake plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Apalachee       River. Any time is a glorious time at Phelps Lake if you love the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rose Creek. Phelps Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is commonly the driest month. Phelps Lake is right by the Town Creek Bike Trail, and Jameson Inn Greensboro is a glorious place                  to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Parker Lake is a splendid lake near Phelps Lake; camping at Wesleyan Campground is always a delightful experience. Lakes? Sure, Webb Lake is in close proximity, and Phelps Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, North Shore Resort is a good local campground.
