Pettit Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Foundry Park Inn & Spa is a great location to get some rest, and a great site to camp here at Pettit Lake is Pine Lake RV Campground. And that's not all you can do here at Pettit Lake. A pleasant close by hotel is Comfort Suites Athens, and do take a look at Bullocks Lake, it's a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Mounds Trail, and there are plenty of people from Athens-Clarke

Camping at Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is always a magnificent experience; soar down the rapids of Rose Creek in a kayak. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Pettit Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's, and night lows at Pettit Lake throughout the winter typically drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Pettit | |

Going for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Benny Meyers Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. A lot of
rainfall falls at Pettit Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most while September is commonly the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Apalachee River offers some great whitewater, and do take a hike on the Falling Camp Trail.
