Persons Lake is a lake worth visiting. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Little Towaliga River offers some perfect whitewater. If you need a place to stay Best Western Hilltop Inn is a splendid choice; do take a hike on the Kinnard Horse Trail. If you came to camp L and D RV Park is a glorious site to do that.

| | Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Persons Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Persons Lake a wet location; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Econo Lodge Forsyth; the good people of Thomaston like to hang out nearby.

Persons Lake Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Towaliga River. Persons Lake really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Camping at Forsyth Koa Kampground is always a splendid experience; playing golf is lots of fun at Forsyth Golf Club.
