If you come at the right time of year, Little Towaliga River offers some tremendous whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Hugh Steele Lake is around here. Having a good time at Pennington Lake is painless. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Towaliga River, and Lamar Inn and Suites is a fine spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Iris Inn, and Pepper Creek is next to Pennington       Lake and is always a pleasure to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Pennington Lake is a location with many visitors from Thomaston, and in close proximity to Pennington Lake you find a golf course called Morgan's Dairy Golf Club. For the period of the warm months highs here at Pennington Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and night lows through the                  wintertime for Pennington Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. At Pennington Lake Dam near Pennington Lake there are some exciting things to see, and High Falls Campground is a great campground nearby.
