Tallulah River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Toccoa is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Panther Creek, and a lake close by is Nems Pond.       For the period of the days of summer at Penick Pond highs are typically in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Penick Pond are in the 20's. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Penick Pond is great!
