A visit to Peeds Lakes is always a good idea. Peeds Lakes is near Whispering Pines Lake Dam which is a pretty spot certainly worth stopping at, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western White House Inn. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Much rain falls at Peeds Lakes; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
Camping is available at Lake Pines Camp Ground, and you're sure to encounter

Sparks Creek is a stream that you may encounter while you're here, and after a long day outdoors Mountain Top Inn and Resort is a great place to spend a night or two. A great site to camp here at Peeds Lakes is Valley Inn Resort, unsurprisingly you could also take a look at Long Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
