There are other places here than Peacock Lake, for example Hardin Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Johnnies Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Beard Spring is always fun to check out, and Fouche Gap is close at hand, and is a good site. If you're visiting Peacock Lake from Rome, you won't be the only one, and       camping at Rome-floyd County Recreation is always a good experience. Peacock Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is generally the driest month. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Peacock Lake. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Rome is a magnificent choice, and if you came to camp James H. Floyd State Park is a magnificent site                  to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Howard Johnson Express Inn Rome is a wonderful place to get some rest, and not far from Peacock Lake you'll find Glovers Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Summertime at Peacock Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
