If you need a site to stay Fairfield Plantation Resort is a pleasant choice; Payne Lakes is not the only location close by, Morgan Lake is a close by lake. High temperatures at Payne Lakes throughout the warm months are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Payne Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Wolf Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; a lake close by

| | is Lake Mimosa. A great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Villa Rica, and if you came for an overnight stay Papillon Resort and RV Campground is a good place to camp. The high level of rain makes Payne Lakes a relatively wet spot; March is the wettest month with most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month.
