Very great water scenery is available at Coursey Lake Dam close to Patrick Pond, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of South River. Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Coursey Lake; a golf course close by is Highland Golf Club.
A fine close by hotel is Days Inn Conyers.

| Putting in at Killian Hill Rd , the best white water is just down river from HWY 78 to the Yellow River Park. Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
