    Go to Paradise Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. During the warm days of summer at Paradise Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Paradise Lake. Paddling on South River is so much fun, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COVINGTON is a magnificent spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at  
   Paradise Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salem Campground is a wonderful place for that, and Yellow River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Yeah, come here to Paradise Lake for a magnificent time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Kinnard Horse Trail, and the scenery at Paradise Lake Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is recommended. Lakes are perfect; Bailey

After a long day outdoors Conyers-Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two; not far from Paradise Lake you'll hit upon Salem Lake which is a delightful lake. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Windy Hill Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time, and Paradise Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Mount Bethel Campground is a nice local campground. Lots of precipitation falls at Paradise Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is September.

Putting in at Killian Hill Rd , the best white water is just down river from HWY 78 to the Yellow River Park.  Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions....

So is it illegal to put in wherever you want along the river if you have somewhere avail?
