Going for a hike on the Benton Mackaye Trail is always a good adventure. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy a round of golf at Chestatee Golf Club not far from Overstreet Lake, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Brookshire Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Dawsonville is a wonderful       choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Overstreet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Reece Lake is one of those close by, and Overstreet Lake is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Under the Hemlock is a pleasant location to camp nearby. Nearby                  lakes? Sure, Burt Lake is right next door to Overstreet Lake, and getting to Gab Creek from Overstreet Lake is easy. The high level of precipitation makes Overstreet Lake a pretty wet location; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Dawson Village Inn; Little Mountain is stunning and can be seen from here. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Overstreet Lake reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Overstreet Lake.
