    It's always fun to stop by Otter Run Lake. Camping is available at Poplar Springs Campgrounds. A good place to camp here at Otter Run Lake is Pine-der-rosa Cabins and RV Rntl; Elberton-Days Inn is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A good place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Otter Run Lake is Skull Shoal Creek, and if you're popping by from Athens-Clarke County, you won't be the only one.
Summertime at Otter Run Lake comes
 
   with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Otter Run Lake. You're most likely interested in lakes, Glenn Lake is one of those nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Elberton. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Don't leave Otter Run Lake without first paying a visit to Cunningham Shoals,  
               and why not visit Glenn Lake Dam while you're here.
You can run the rapids of Big Clouds Creek in close proximity to Otter Run Lake, and why not a little side spree to Beaver Creek. Otter Run Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
