You'll need more than a day to discover everything Otter Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Lanier Islands Resort Campground. Otter Lake commonly gets a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is October. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Oetter Lake Dam, and Otter       Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. Do check out Oetter Lake in close proximity to Otter Lake, it's a pretty lake. For the duration of the summer months at Otter Lake highs are frequently in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Otter Lake temperatures sink to the                  30's. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Macon East; let's not forget Hickman Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. While you're here at Otter Lake, you could also have a look at wonderful Ayers Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Milledgeville here at Otter Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
