After a long day outdoors Guesthouse Intl Lake Park is a nice place to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Turket Creek offers some good whitewater. Ocean Pond       frequently gets a good deal of rain; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while October is frequently the driest month. Float down the rapids of Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Ocean Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday Campground is a splendid site for that. Lake Hammock Dam East is a pretty place in the vicinity of Ocean Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn                  Lake Park. This lake is so wonderful. Ocean Pond is not the only location close by, Bonet Lake is a close by lake, and you can stay the night at Eagles Roost Campground. Throughout the summer at Ocean Pond highs are mostly in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's.
