Any time is a good time at Ocean Pond if you adore the outdoors. Here at Ocean Pond there are plenty of folks from Valdosta. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Turket Creek, and after a long day outdoors Guesthouse Intl Lake Park is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) is a good whitewater spot       near Ocean Pond, and Holiday Campground is a glorious campground here. High temperatures at Ocean Pond all through the summer are in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Ocean Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ocean Pond a wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and October                  on the other hand is the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Lake Park, and if you came for an overnight stay Eagles Roost Campground is a good spot to camp.
