O'Kelley Lake is a reasonably wet place typically with much rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while September is regularly the driest month. Ramada Limited Royston is a great site to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Victoria Bryant State       Park is a nice place to camp. O'Kelley Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's in close proximity to O'Kelley Lake, and camping is available at Watson Mill Bridge State Park. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at O'Kelley Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for O'Kelley Lake. This lake is so wonderful.                  You'll meet a lot of folks from Athens-Clarke County here; playing golf is lots of fun at Sunrise Golf Club. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Skull Shoal Creek. So much entertaining stuff to do at O'Kelley Lake, so little time.
