Number Gate Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is June. A nice close by hotel is Comfort Suites Suwanee; whitewater paddling is great on Settingdown Creek. Do have a look at Sims Lake near Number Gate Lake, it's a pretty lake, and in close proximity to Number Gate Lake       you stumble on a golf course called Sugar Hill Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Number Gate Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Lanier Island Campground, and Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a great site nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Number Gate Lake there are plenty of folks from Gainesville; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Suwanee, GA is a nice place to spend                  a night or two. Summer at Number Gate Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Number Gate Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Yellow River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Number Gate Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lawrenceville Campground is a tremendous location for that.
