Get wet paddling on Chattahoochee River. North Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March, and September meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at North Pond. Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a wonderful national park; since you might be in a lake       visiting mood you can always pop by close by Jackson Lake. At North Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at North Pond dip into the 20's. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Truitt-fulton is a wonderful site to camp. Lakes are wonderful; Joy Lake is a lake that's near North Pond.                  A glorious close by hotel is Savannah Suites Jonesboro, also North Pond Dam is worth checking out while you're here. This lake is so wonderful.
