North Jones Lake is not far at all from Rome; a splendid close by hotel is Comfort Inn Rome. All the water falling down from the sky makes North Jones Lake a wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Summertime at North Jones Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course,       frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at North Jones Lake. Float down the rapids of Johnnies Creek in a kayak, and if you came to camp Morrison Campground is a glorious location to do that. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called Jones Lake near North Jones Lake; the scenery at Jones Lake Dam is striking. Having a glorious time at North Jones Lake is painless. Get covered                  with water paddling on Big Cedar Creek; enjoy a round of golf at Horseleg Creek Country Club.
