Nolan Lake gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and September on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little trip to Little Sandy Creek. Going for a hike on the Falling Camp Trail is always a great adventure; if you came for an overnight stay       Talisman Campark is a nice location to camp. Near Nolan Lake you hit upon the Mounds Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and not far from Nolan Lake you'll come across Chambers Lake which is a delightful lake. Summertime highs at Nolan Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Nolan                  Lake plunge into the 30's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Nolan Lake. Wingate by Wyndham Madison / Lake Oconee Area is a splendid spot to get some rest, and there are other locations here than Nolan Lake, for example Youngblood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Apalachee River, and Nolan Lake Dam is stunning.
