If you like lakes and you're in this part of Georgia you can check out Newton Lake. At Newton Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Newton Lake tend to be in the 20's. Be careful coming to Newton Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Lake is delightful fun, Stone Mountain Park Family Campground is a delightful local campground, and some nearby water includes Beaver Ruin Creek. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Sturdivant Lake Dam near Newton Lake,
and lots of people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta come here. A journey to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is recommended; why not camp at Jones RV Park if you're here at Newton Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If
you need a location to stay Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta/Duluth/Gwinnett County is a delightful choice, and Yellow River is a perfect whitewater spot close by.
