This lake is so wonderful. Brooks Mountain is clearly visible from New Lake, and Lake Ellerbee Number 1 is a delightful lake close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes New Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is October. Summertime brings highs       in the 90's to New Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at New Lake fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at New Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ramsey Mobile Home and RV Park is a fine site for that. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Thomaston is a great choice. Lakes? Sure,                  Hightower Lake is nearby. So many enjoyable things near New Lake, absolutely phenomenal. Stay the night at Heart of Georgia RV Park, and enjoy a round of golf at Hickory Ridge Golf Club. During your tour to New Lake you'll meet some folks from Thomaston for sure, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Potato Creek.
