Nems Pond typically gets lots of rain; most of the rain falls through March; the driest month is October. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do close to Nems Pond. Not far from Nems Pond you acquire some fine water scenery at Todd Dam, and the Bartram Trail offers hiking at its best. During the summertime months, highs generally are in the 80's at Nems       Pond while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Nems Pond are in the 20's. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tallulah River, and Panther Creek Campground is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Nems Pond, you could also visit beautiful Lawson Lake; Hazel Creek RV Park is a fine                  local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A good place for whitewater paddling right next door to Nems Pond is Big Panther Creek, and you'll stumble on a lovely lake called Todd Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Toccoa, and hey, Walker Branch is a great local stream.
