If you came to camp Parkwood RV Park is a good place to do that, also Nelson Pond Dam is worth a visit since you're here. The high level of rainfall makes Nelson Pond a pretty wet location; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is November. During the summertime       months highs here at Nelson Pond reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Nelson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Nelson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Pinevale Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Trellis Garden Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Lakes are great; Blalock Pond is a lake that's                  near Nelson Pond, and there are plenty of folks from Statesboro here.
