Neel Lake generally gets a large amount of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Neel Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Red Top Mtn. State Park and Lodge is       a brilliant site to camp nearby, and Sugar Hill Pond is a great lake nearby. Hanging Mountain can be distinguished from Neel Lake, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Garden Inn & Suites is a wonderful choice. Just can't get enough of Neel Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Talking Rock Creek, and Neel Lake is a site with many visitors from Calhoun. Summertime highs at Neel Lake usually tend to be in                  the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Neel Lake. Take a little trip to Little Log Creek if you're here at Neel Lake.
