What a nice lake Nasty Pond is. Get covered with water paddling on Turket Creek, and there are plenty of people from Valdosta here. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Lake Park/Valdosta is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Eagles Roost Campground is always a delightful experience; a great swamp near Nasty Pond is Zeigler Lake.

| | Summer brings highs in the 90's to Nasty Pond. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Nasty Pond. Nasty Pond gets a large amount of water; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
