Good hiking is available along the Tearbritches Trail; camping at Talona Creek Campground is always a pleasant experience. Nalls Lake is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls during March; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous site to camp here at Nalls Lake is Nelly Plum Campground, and you'll find a picturesque lake called Jones Lake. That right there is loads already, but it continues;

| | Nalls Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motels - Jasper; there are brilliant spots to explore along the Bear Creek Trail.
Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Jones Lake in the neighborhood of Nalls Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Mountaintown Creek Trail. Fausett Creek is a stream that you may run into while you're here, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful.

At Nalls Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Nalls Lake nighttime low temperatures through
the winter are in the 20's. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Mountain View Inn is a good choice, and you can run the rapids of Cartecay River.

| The General Store @ Eagle Mtn. now has Villa rentals to add to the enjoyment of paddling the Coosawattee, and can provide shuttle service to and from the river. Its a great place to spend the day, and now, you can even spend several days if you wish. It holds many memories for me as I am sure it will for you....I have stayed at the Diamond lure in the past and found the campground and the operaters to be of a high quality. There is fishing and boating on the private lake too.... |
