For the period of the days of summer at Murrays Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Murrays Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Just can't get enough of Murrays Lake. Near Murrays Lake you discover the Gryder Camp Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and a       magnificent close by hotel is Best Western Fairwinds Inn & Suites. Chicken Coop Gap is a great place to check out nearby. Why not camp at Sylco Campground if you're here at Murrays Lake, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Conasauga River. Going for a hike on the Conasauga River Trail is always a glorious adventure, and there are plenty of folks from Cleveland here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lake Conasauga Campground; why                  not take a little trip to Hickory Creek if you're here. Murrays Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout March, and October is when it's the driest.
