If the weather is good here at Murphy Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Bluff Trail, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Battlefield Golf Club. High temperatures at Murphy Lakes through the days of summer are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; overnight lows at Murphy Lakes throughout the winter generally descend into       the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come here to Murphy Lakes for a fine time. While you're here at Murphy Lakes you can take a hike along the Hardy Trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from Chattanooga here. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Murphy Lakes is Falling Water Creek, and Poplar Spring is a great local attraction. You can run the rapids of Rock Creek near Murphy Lakes, and Comfort Inn Chattanooga is a delightful                  location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Boynton Ridge can be seen from Murphy Lakes; a splendid place to camp here at Murphy Lakes is Ringgold Koa Kampground. A large amount of rainfall falls at Murphy Lakes; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October.
