A visit to Mullens Lake is always a good idea. A lot of rain falls at Mullens Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Red Roof Inn & Suites Augusta is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; camping at Mullens Lake is good fun, Heritage Mobile Home Community is a good local campground. cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Mullens Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Go for a hike on the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Stevens Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Forest Hills Golf Club is a golf course near Mullens Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Savannah
River. Forks Campground is a magnificent campground here, and there are brilliant places to discover along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail.
