This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Mullens Lake you can take a hike along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Americas Best Value Inn - Augusta/Ft. Gordon is a splendid site to get some rest; Forks Campground is a good campground nearby. For you golfers we recommend       close by Forest Hills Golf Club, and at Mullens Lake you always meet someone from Augusta-Richmond County. Heritage Mobile Home Community is a good local campground, and Idlewylde Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Mullens Lake a rather wet location; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Mullens                  Lake. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling close to Mullens Lake is Savannah River, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Mullens Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Mullens Lake all through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 30's.
