There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Oaks Campground is a fine spot for that, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Valdosta Knights Inn. Mud Lake is a place with many visitors from Valdosta. Comfort Inn Conference Center is a great spot to get some rest, and an afternoon playing golf at Claybank Golf & Country Club is always a pleasure. Mud Lake is       a quite wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; all through July this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October. High temperatures at Mud Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 90's while nighttime lows are generally in the 70's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Mud Lake.
