If you like swamps, you're in luck, Durdin Prairie is right nearby, and do take a hike on the Indian Trail. But wait, there's more to do near Mud Lake. Duck Lake is a pleasant lake close to Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Waycross; Okefenokee Pastimes is a tremendous local       campground. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Mud Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 60's while Mud Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
