This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Orchard Hills Golf Club is a splendid way to kill some time, and whitewater paddling is fine on Wolf Creek. If you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Inn Newnan GA is a nice choice. This is no location for people       who don’t like to have a good time. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River; lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Stricklands Lakes. Mountain Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. An interesting thing to visit in the neighborhood of Mountain Lake is Mountain Lake Dam, and dry warm beds                  await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - NEWNAN. Camping at Flat Creek Campground is always a good experience, and some of the water nearby flows, like School Branch. High temperatures at Mountain Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, frequently in the 60's.
